I bought this book with hopes that it would help with my social anxiety disorder and overall shyness. It covers so many things it's just not for those of us who are only dealing with one primary anxiety disorder. I really don't want to read a bunch of crap about other disorders, specific phobias, and panic attacks when I don't have those. Since I'm only dealing with social anxiety I'm trying to jump from chapter to chapter (to skip the topics on disorders I don't have) but it's troublesome because I don't know which to read and which not to. I wish they had tackled these anxiety/phobias by chapter according to phobia or anxiety. I don't have get panic attacks at all, and essentially this entire book is about panic attacks, how to cope with and how to deal with them. I should have went with a book that specifically tackles S.A.D, it's too bad that this book actually shows up when searching for books dealing with social anxiety and I was thinking it would help. Maybe as I read more my opinion will change.

I want to tell anyone that is currently struggling with anxiety and panic attacks, phobias, or ocd issues that there is a way to recover and take back your life and this book is the vehicle to get you there. This book literally has changed my life and I know it will change yours too. I promise you that if you read this book and follow the exercises, you will get better. I have personally struggled with anxiety and panic attacks for over 20 years, I've tried numerous therapists and so many different medications I've lost count. I was even told at one point that I had bipolar disorder. Nothing worked and I found myself at a point that I literally felt like I had no other options to get well. I had no choice but to take it upon myself to help myself. I had to do something different, and I had to do it now. When I started reading the book I was completely agoraphobic, depressed, constantly anxious, and having panic attacks to the point I felt like I couldn't go on any longer. I am 60 days into applying what I learned in the workbook and my life has completely turned around for the better. I am the happy, positive, loving person that I knew existed deep down but feared was gone. I now feel I can do and accomplish anything I set my mind to. It will be a lifestyle change for many, as this recovery will affect you on mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual levels. This book really attacks your issues at every angle possible, from eating the correct foods, to relaxation methods, and tips to stop panic attacks just to name a few. Believe me, through a little hard work-you will get your life back and be the person you want to be.God Bless and Good Luck!

If you or someone you know is having a hard time with their anxiety, this book will help. My therapist recommended me getting it because I kept googling every symptom I had and reading other people’s scares started to scare me. For me, it helped me accept that my anxiety is not a disability, it’s just part of my personality. I deal with things differently than some and it helped me find ways to do that without fear. Highly recommend.

Very informative but a lot of the suggested "exercises" are recommended to be done with a professional (counselor, psychiatrist, etc). I was hoping for more suggestions for when I am at home and in between doctor appointments. However, I did learn a lot of interesting facts about different anxiety disorders which helped me to be able to more clearly clarify my own anxiety issues and their origins.

There are enough positive reviews of this book explaining why it is so good, so I won't make it long. I'll just say this is one of the most useful books I've ever read. After 2 years of commitment and consistent practice I can say my life is much easier and I am a happier person.

This is a good workbook if you have anxiety, or if you're a professional mental health worker. I am both. I am a mental health therapist who has also suffered from panic disorder. This workbook is comprehensive and simple. It's hard to find a good workbook that it both of those things. Highly recommend.

I am 32 years old and after a miscarriage in December I was recently diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and agoraphobia (due to a major hormonal inbalance, I believe). Even with all the medication I am on and weekly visits to my therapist, this book has helped me the most. I love the way it's laid out and I love the worksheets but this book would still be very useful even without using the worksheets. It's not as much of a "workbook" as I thought it would. It's so much better. If you have struggled with anxiety, panic attacks and phobias BUY THIS BOOK.

I purchased this workbook for the excellent chapters on feelings -- both how to access, name and deal with feelings around anxiety disorders. There is not enough good, easy information on adults accessing feelings in trauma or psychological literature, so I was thrilled to find not just one chapter, but a few, dealing with the complexities of this topic within these covers.The rest of the book is exactly what the title suggests & contains some great, if common, information and worksheets.

The story of how Alfred Stieglitz's shifting band of merry ex-pats and homegrown experimenters invented American modernism has been oft and well told, but never with Corn's combination of lucidity, subtlety and clear-eyed sympathy with the workAand the jingoistic America from which it emerged. Corn looks at the work of five American artists, dividing them into the "Transatlantics" and the "Rooted." Like Duchamp and Picabia (who paved the way with "Am?ricanisme"), two other "transatlantics," Gerald Murphy and Joseph Stella, thought that America provided the perfect context for a machine-age art. For Corn, Stella's heroic stylizations of Manhattan's newly built skyscrapers are an attempt to paint through "the European's highly reductive schema of New York," and get at its relentless modernity. The brash flatness of American billboards appears in Murphy's work in Paris, and in that of the "rooted" Demuth, who because of delicate health lived in Pennsylvania. Unlike Demuth, two other "rooted" artists, Corn argues, tried to recover a more historical understanding of what American art wasAGeorgia O'Keeffe looked to a Native American past in New Mexico, and Charles Sheeler incorporated vernacular elements like Shaker furniture into his canvases. Corn matches a terrific sensitivity to form with a winning curiosity about the artists' biographies and nods to period criticism. While a sense of broader social processes shaping artistic production (and the American public) doesn't really come through, Corn's nuanced descriptions of the individual artists, their lives and their materials mirror perfectly their search for "American" modes of expression. I purchased this to help study for the registry. Unfortunately some of the question/answers are out of order. And some of the answers just plain wrong! For instance, SAR, on question 169, is specific absorbtion rate, NOT, susceptibility attack region as the answer states. If this was the only study guide I was using, that type of miss matches would really screw me up. I know that this guide is coming out in print in June 2013, hopefully this will have been caught. If not, buyer beware. Luckily I have been through an MRI course and am not just using this review. If you haven't, please invest in more study materials than just this guide. All in all,this could be much better, however I think it is the editing and not Ms Roth that is at fault. The information is present, it just seems to have gotten a bit jumbled.

This book did help with in my studying for the ARRT MRI registry in January 2017. But it was not my only source for studying. I also used Mrs. Roth's online program which was the biggest help (ImagingEd.com) and I also attended her Registry review program that highlighted info from her online program. She and her crew have done an excellent job of providing my in-depth knowledge for MRI.

Found numerous conflicting answers for questions. I ended up googling to make sure which was correct. I really wish they would at least include a correction sheet for the wrong answers if they aren't going to reprint the book.

I'm on the verge of taking ARRT registry exam..I purchased this book thinking it would help me to prepare, but, it has been more frustrating! I did catch the errors because I have numerous of other material to study from. But, considering how many the questions this book has it's not worth the time to go every single one. Especially, the ones you don't know the answers too. Don't waste your time on purchasing the book, and may I add money.

Very thorough and helpful. I passed my registry exam thanks to this book, but I did find a few errors. I highly recommend using multiple resources for the exam.

Amazing book! I passed my review in October!! It had A LOT of questions so I was only able to go through it twice but the wording of the questions helped me a lot

proofreading it would have been high on my to do list before I published it. if that wasn't enough, flipping from the questions to the back of the book for answers that had no explanations for most, not really a good use of time.

I love these two people who wrote this book but it is full of mistakes, it needs a major proof reading done and those of us who purchased both the book and kindle version should clearly be sent the new updated revision with the correct answers in it. Just sayin!! cause this book is not cheap.update, on further inspection of this book I have to warn you fellow students preparing for boards this book could really hurt your score, it is full of mistakes which is to bad coming from these people, shame on them for not caring enough to proof read the book before selling it. It's pretty much worthless unless you know all the right answers to every question already. Sorry Candi and Bill but just sayin!!
